Terrace Garden Ayurveda Resort

The accommodation was beautiful, surrounded by nature, ideal for guests seeking peace away from Weligama’s busy center. The design was excellent, the environment calm and green, and the pool area lovely—a small, peaceful retreat. The only major problem was that every evening we had no hot water for most of the time, which was a big inconvenience after a day outdoors or at the beach and quite disappointing given the overall standard. If that issue is fixed, the place has great potential thanks to its beautiful location and atmosphere.

“Grote ontgoocheling”

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was a letdown. I was initially placed in a single room despite booking a double room, and the bed was one of the hardest I encountered during my entire trip to Sri Lanka. The breakfast options were limited, and I was given a room with mold in the bathroom. I'm puzzled by the numerous positive reviews, but I suspect it might be due to the hotel's proximity to alternative medicine centers, which seem to attract a specific clientele.

“Absolute Ruhe”

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, which offered a serene atmosphere and beautifully maintained grounds. My room was clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the availability of drinking water and Ayurvedic treatments. However, the hotel's remote location made it challenging to get around without a car, and the bed was surprisingly noisy and uncomfortable.
