“Unsafe/uncomfortable for female travelers”
If you’re coming from Baku, grab a shared taxi from the bus terminal – it’s only about 4 AZN and drops you near a market, a supermarket, several restaurants, and another local bus hub. Unfortunately, my experience turned sour after that: the owner acted hostile, accused me of influencing another guest, and even threatened to withhold breakfast while serving a male guest.
The hotel is conveniently located in Quba city and the room itself was tidy, which was nice. However, the bathroom wasn’t fully cleaned and had an unpleasant smell, the walls are paper‑thin so you can hear conversations clearly, and nighttime noise was pretty loud.
Being right in the city centre was a huge plus, and the staff really stepped up – they organized a day trip to Xinaliq and Qriz for me and even helped with the State Migration paperwork, something you don’t see everywhere. Their willingness to go beyond the usual made the stay feel a lot smoother.
The front‑desk team was pleasant and made check‑in smooth. Their friendly attitude set a good tone for the short stay.
