It was a wonderful stay that will stay with us for a long time.

The location is spectacular on a cliff overlooking a superb beach with crystal‑clear water. The rooms are new, very clean, and nicely decorated; it is very quiet. The staff are super friendly and cheerful. I would have liked a small pool with loungers and umbrellas to relax comfortably, and morning yoga classes would have been great. The restaurant could improve its food quality; it is adequate but nothing special. Many locals come to the restaurant, so it’s nice to be around Indonesians, but don’t forget to book a table for hotel guests.

We stayed four nights at what is clearly the best spot in Bira on Bara Beach, and everything was flawless—from the pre‑arrival communication to the time we were there. They arranged our transfer from Makassar (the sleeper bus from Toraja that left at 5 am) to Bira, the restaurant served excellent food on time, and the view was stunning at sunrise and sunset; they also offered trips to nearby islands.
