“Exceeding our expectations. Comes with free beach pass. Overall exceptional 👌”
I spotted this charming hotel perched above Barrett Town, offering both sea and land views, and its spot on the outskirts makes it a great spot if you want to mingle with locals – we did, and they were very conservative yet welcoming, even though it was just an overnight stay. We made a few friends just by chatting at the shops about Jamaica. The staff looked after us from the moment we arrived, even giving us a welcome rum punch shot and helping with luggage and restaurant recommendations. The hotel bar and restaurant are perfectly positioned if you want to chill by the pool during the day. After three weeks in Jamaica, this was our favorite hotel and we couldn’t find any faults. I recommend staying here. The only drawback is that it’s advertised as BTS, short for Beyond the Sea, which made it hard to find on Google Maps because of the abbreviation, and there’s another Beyond the Sea that’s closed. It’s not far from the airport, which is a bonus, but you’ll need GPS to locate it. The hotel sits off the main road at the top of a hill, with a few odd shops nearby, a car wash, and a police station in a working‑class community that feels very relaxed. The winding road up has a few holes, but nothing that would surprise a driver navigating Jamaica. It was well worth the travel, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Montego Bay. As a fussy traveler, this place exceeded my expectations, and you get exactly what’s advertised. I felt like a princess 👸 ✨️ 😌
