“enjoyed our stay and hope to come back after remodel”

The continental breakfast was tasty and the patio was spacious and welcoming, complete with champagne and cookies, but the lodge feels overdue for an upgrade, the AC in the room was very loud and the exhaust from the next door added to the noise, and there was no spot to sit for breakfast that avoided the sun in your eyes; plus there was no elevator or help for moving luggage.

We keep returning to the Sunnyside, whether it's our second or third visit, because the staff are fantastic, the rooms are superb, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the shower is something I truly enjoy.

“Perfect charming hotel to enjoy Lake Tahoe.”

The stay was comfortable and the on‑site restaurant was excellent.

“We’re planning to come back next year right after Labor Day”

The location was fantastic and the staff were very friendly, though the hotel is clearly in need of a makeover and a new menu; it would also benefit from more vegan choices and additional green salads.
