The cottage was a nice spot, close to Apollo Bay and the drive was gorgeous either way. It felt roomy and had puzzles, games, and a fireplace for those chilly evenings. But the place had fallen a bit on upkeep – the split‑house layout meant we were right next to the caretakers, not the privacy we expected. The cleaning was rough; no milk, old shower products, dirty sponges, and the owner only offered a quick fix after we arrived. Overall, it didn’t feel worth the price.

This cottage was a dream for our family trip with a toddler and a baby. They had toys, a highchair, and the fireplace made evenings cozy. Seeing the animals in the pasture added to the charm. We’d definitely come back.
