The bedding and bathroom were clean, and the young man at the front desk was helpful. We parked our bicycles safely in the parking garage, and the hotel is within walking distance of the city center. The carpeting in the hallways, on the stairs, and the mat in front of the bed had not been vacuumed for weeks and was visibly dirty; a chicken carcass lay on the stair and the staff simply walked over it. A loose plank under the bed and a lot of dust were present, and no cloth was used on the tables. There was no breakfast buffet; instead, breakfast was served at the table with bread, fried or scrambled eggs, a little jam and butter, fresh juice, coffee, or tea. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t a “fantastic buffet.” This hotel is not worth 8.3; a small 7 would be closer, and it is too expensive for what it offers.
