“Great location and food, but the busy atmosphere and limited in-room entertainment affected the overall experience.””

The location was superb and super convenient. The food was wonderful, especially the steak and grilled prawns. The hotel had a good vibe overall, and the central spot made it easy to get around Manchester. The hotel was very busy, with a constant stream of guests, so I often had to wait longer to speak with reception or ask questions. I was disappointed there was no live band or entertainment over the weekend. The in‑room TV experience could improve; Netflix was missing, and there was no way to access YouTube or other streaming services, which would have been nice for a short stay.

“Great for finishing off a vacation in style”

The room was very nice and spacious, with a stunning city view, good amenities, and great lighting for reading at night. Breakfast was excellent, with everything fully stocked. In our part of the building the Wi‑Fi was very spotty; the initial connection didn’t work, and the reception area had better signal, but that didn’t help in the room. The beds were unexpectedly soft, though the linens and surroundings were lovely.

“Excellent”

The room was spotless, fully equipped, and comfortable. Daily housekeeping was superb, especially since we were traveling with a baby. The space was generous and stocked with plenty of toiletries. The only downside was that the TV only carried satellite channels; a few streaming services would have been nice.

“Despite minor room disappointment, service was of a high standard”

The location was spot‑on and the staff were always courteous and helpful; we didn’t use the member lounge or grab‑and‑go breakfast, but having them included was a plus. The website’s description of the suite promised separate sleeping and living areas, a sofa and a TV in each, yet the room was just one space with a super‑king bed. It was roomy but not as furnished as expected, maybe just an extra armchair. The bathroom was better than normal, offering both a bath and a shower. Call ahead to confirm what “extra” actually means before you pay for an upgrade.
