The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the bed comfy; breakfast was delicious and hot, and the staff were very accommodating. Unfortunately the carpark was flooded, so we couldn't park.

Food, comfort, and staff were all excellent.

The bed was pure comfort, and the lobby felt cozy with the fire on. Breakfast fell short of other hotel standards; cereals were only available as a continental breakfast, and we each got one slice of toast, served by friendly staff. We had trouble re‑entering the hotel after being out because the door was locked, but we eventually got in. Directions to the room were not clearly marked.

Breakfast was very good, and the waitstaff—especially the senior woman in the breakfast room—handled heavy demand excellently. The scaffolding was off‑putting, the front‑desk staff seemed to want everyone to leave, and the electrical issues weren't fixed quickly.
