The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, and the reception staff were very kind. We spent the day outside, but when we returned the room was infested with ants everywhere. At check‑out we were told the porter who brings luggage to the port had fallen ill, so we had to carry all our bags ourselves. Many streets are unpaved, the heat is unbearable, and reaching the port under those conditions is difficult.

The location was great, close to the pier and tourist sights, and the beds were comfortable and cheap. The toilet water turned black between flushes and the seat was stained. We were told a trolley would be available for our speedboat on checkout day, but when we reached reception the lady said it wasn’t possible and we had to walk with our large backpacking bags; she didn’t even try to find a trolley or seemed annoyed. We explained we had requested this service at check‑in and were told it would be no problem.

Everyone on the island was friendly, and Nana was the best – she helped us so much and we loved her. She assisted with booking and even saw us off home on her day off. Everything was wonderful.
