The gardens are well kept and the staff are quiet, friendly, and polite. On the downside, the bathrooms need work—poor makeup lighting, a dripping tap, worn silicone seal around the shower, a sluggish drain, and the kettle only fits on the floor in room 9 because the cord is too short.

The bed was comfortable, yet the presence of a recovery/hospital lodge on the same property made me uneasy, seeing sick people everywhere.

I appreciated the hotel's serene country feel, thanks to its beautiful gardens, birds, and mature trees. The staff and host were incredibly approachable and helpful, making my stay more enjoyable. However, I did notice that the rooms could benefit from more cupboard space and hangers, and the lighting in both the room and bathroom could be improved. Additionally, some extra storage in the bathroom would have been a welcome addition.
