The staff, especially the kitchen crew, were very friendly and competent; both cooks were fantastic. To our surprise, several “babilla’s” (brilalligators) came to the little pond in the evenings, which was a real plus! They were harmless and we could watch them up close. Occasionally, wild horses roamed the estate, which was very fun! However, even though the hotel sits on the beach, you can’t swim in the sea because it’s too dangerous, which was a big let‑down since it wasn’t advertised. The hygiene in the rooms and the terrace could also be better.
