“Ottimo albergo”
The room was a beautiful big camera, the wardrobe was spacious, the bathroom looked nice, and the cleaning was excellent upon arrival and every day. The staff were very friendly. The only downside was the location; it’s not in the center, which I knew beforehand, so it isn’t their fault, but if I were in charge I’d go to the town hall to complain. To reach the beach you have to cross a provincial road with stripes—barely visible, but that’s not the issue, the locals of Porto Sant'Elpidio don’t care whether they’re there or not and they don’t stop anyway—where practically no one stops, a pedestrian traffic light would be useful, about 100 m further on. Another problem that really ruined my holiday was that the sewage drains directly into the sea; after the rains (actually one day it didn’t even rain) the water turns MUDDY and emits a nasty odor for 3 days out of 7. If I were the hotel I would complain because the sea would otherwise be beautiful, but it’s a pity. This issue will make me, and speaking on the beach, many other tourists never return for that reason. It’s a real shame because both the public beach and the other ones are truly beautiful. Pity.
