The room’s theme was spot-on, but the reception was a mess—no clear sign of where it was or if it was open, and the language barrier was tough; the staff didn’t speak English and seemed to have German as a second language too. A smoke detector in a nearby room had a dead battery and kept beeping; we told the staff right away, reminded them again that evening, but it wasn’t fixed until the next evening, which kept us up the first night and ruined the first day. We had to ask four times over two days before anything was resolved. On the first night the heating didn’t work, leaving the stone room cold, and on the second night the heating was on but produced a constant dripping/running water noise even when the radiator valve was fully closed.
