The double bed had power outlets and a lamp, which I thought was great for families with kids. The bed felt a bit dusty, and the drip coffee bag in the room was wrinkled and seemed to have been touched by several people, giving an unhygienic vibe.

I could walk to Hiroshima train station and the lobby had a modern feel. The name “Nest” probably comes from how cramped the rooms are – two single beds pushed together, a tiny round table with two chairs, and a window. The carpet was the worst I’ve ever seen in a hotel; it was so dirty and worn that I felt I had to wear slippers.

The hotel sits right near the city center and major sights, and the bedroom is spacious and well laid out. The staff were incredibly friendly and the breakfast was tasty.
