“Rena rum till bra pris med fin utsikt och bra beläget i Hikkaduwa”
The place is well‑situated in Hikkaduwa, right in the center where you want to be to get to everything easily. The room was clean and nice, and the host gave me new towels and cleaned the room. It felt a bit motel‑like with the loft corridors. I stayed in the corner room facing the sea, with a lovely view and effective AC. There was no hotel reception in the building; contact with the host was mainly through WhatsApp or random meetings at the hotel. The hotel felt a bit deserted, probably because it was low season, but I would have liked more physical contact with the host to feel that someone was available. This made it unclear where to go when I arrived, and it took a while to get my room even though my check‑in time was accepted on booking. If you sleep lightly, know that the wind whistles and waves crash quite loudly at night. In a way, it’s lovely, but I slept with earplugs. The hotel shares the building with a massage salon and restaurant. I stayed as a single woman and noticed many restless guys staring a lot and looking exhausted, which made me feel less than super comfortable. This isn’t a negative about the facilities themselves, but be aware if you want a more private hotel.
