“Hôtel vieille France”
The welcome was friendly, the mini‑room was nicely decorated and quiet, and the old‑world restaurant attracted the English, but the staircase was steep and the mattress needed replacement.
“Room great, restaurant disappointing.”
The room was great and the location was so popular that many expats live nearby, which is not so great; dinner was disappointing and pricey for what it was, and the staff were surly, which is unfortunately common in France.
“The perfect place to stay, very welcoming, dog friendly and in a beautiful little square where you can park for free.”
Finding the place was easy and the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly; it’s an iconic spot steeped in motor‑car history, and I loved everything.
The staff, the setting and the garden pool area were great, the bed was comfortable and the air‑conditioning excellent, and the restaurant was superb on the first night; however, on the second night the menu changed to a far lesser type, and the bar breakfast area was bare on the last morning with too few tables set.
“Great place to stop at.”
We have stayed here a few times now and it’s a great little stop for traveling through France, but the bed felt a bit hard, though that’s just a personal preference.
