The location was excellent and the facilities were great, but they let us sleep on the couch without providing an extra blanket for the cottage. The phone didn’t work, so we had to go to reception for anything.

The location was perfect for visiting nearby beach towns, and the grounds were well kept. We liked the patio overlooking a golf hole, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pub’s food and cocktails were good, and the walk to the beach was short and easy. The buildings were old and rundown; the carpet, furnishings, and bathrooms hadn’t been updated in probably 30 years, so the room should have cost half as much. The TV was very small if that matters. The gym and pool looked nice but we didn’t use them. There was no microwave in the room, though a fridge was present.

The spot is great and having a private beach is a nice perk, but there's no bathroom on the beach, which is pretty inconvenient. The Longhouse is noisy because of the highway traffic, and the building and rooms look old and need a makeover.

The location was spot on, the room was big and comfortable, and the private beach was just a short walk away where we could watch the sunset. The staff were very friendly and made beach access clear and simple. The people at the dining room and at Dave's Pub were warm and welcoming. The indoor pool was nice. All in all, everything was great and the staff were fantastic!

I chose the place because it was advertised as pet friendly, but after booking I was told my rate didn't allow pets and I had to pay extra. The hotel then called me to explain that the agent “barely speaks English,” which was irrelevant to me as a guest and came across as an unnecessary complaint about their booking partner. During that same call, they also said our room would be in an adjacent building instead of the main building. That was fine – I had never stayed there before and just wanted a room suitable for us and our dog. The reception was unfriendly, and when we came back at 4 PM, several guests were waiting while staff spoke rudely to them. The room was very outdated, with mold on the bathroom ceiling, a faucet that splashed everywhere, an old toilet with no lid, a tiny TV, and a noisy A/C. The pool and other facilities also felt very dated. The beach was the best part, but it is outside the property. Overall, the high price doesn't match the service or quality. I'd suggest looking at other options before booking.
