The place is very pretty and well located. The shower was awful, the water didn’t heat, the bed was bad, and the TV didn’t work.

The rooms were spacious, the atmosphere was calm, and the contact with nature was great.

The taste was very good, it’s worth it. One thing to note, which the lodge staff quickly fixed, was that my accommodation was in the main house, so the noise during breakfast was annoying. Also the TV room is next to the bedroom, and one morning at 7:30 am the TV was on high volume.

Everything was spot‑on – the staff, the room, the little extras – but the bed was a bit small for my taste; a queen‑size would have made it perfect.

The welcome was warm and the kitchen served up some solid dishes. The whole crew seemed genuinely friendly, and the rooms did the job without any fuss.
