The breakfast wasn’t great; the pancakes were a bit undercooked, my daughter’s waffle had a hair in it, and the portion was tiny. The pool guard seemed overly strict, scolding my daughter for everything and nothing.

The staff at the hotel are generally decent, but the photo on the site is misleading—those bridges don’t actually exist. The beach sand is black, and the hotel offers no chairs or umbrellas; you’ll have to find them elsewhere and pay for them. On a rainy day, there’s nothing to do unless you head to the casino; the lobby only has a few armchairs to sit for a while, and otherwise you’re left with the bar or the restaurants.
