I booked a week before, called twice to confirm, asked if I needed to pay in advance to secure my room, the receptionist said the reservation was confirmed and I just needed to show up and pay that day, I arrived after a 4‑hour drive only to find the hotel fully booked and I was left stranded with my luggage to find another place for the night, it was already 9 PM…disgraceful behaviour.
