The Dragon Hotel

“Totally happy with everything and would definitely stay again!!”

Everything was spotless, the staff were very friendly, and the location was brilliant. Parking was acceptable, though it could get tight when busy; as the reviews mentioned, the carpets and furniture could use a refresh, and a TV in the second bedroom of the Family suite would be handy.

“Its a relatively nice hotel where the experience is marred by a lack of attention to detail.”

The staff, overall look, and cleanliness matched other hotels; the room was a good size, comfortable, and clean. However, the shower never managed to produce even warm water, let alone hot water for a morning shower; the cooked breakfast had clearly sat on a warming plate under lights for a long time, making the food inedible; the alternative spread was limited to a bowl of cereal, and the orange juice was so diluted it lost its identity; additionally, the hotel bar remained closed throughout my stay.

“The hotel was adequate for our needs and the stay was pleasant.”

The location was convenient for reaching the station and other amenities, and the breakfast (taken twice) was of high quality. The room felt somewhat worn and needed redecorating, but otherwise it was fine except for a dripping sound when it rained; one of the lifts was broken, causing trouble when several people tried to use the other lift that only carried a maximum of three; we were also disappointed to find no full restaurant facilities, contrary to what we had been led to believe.

“Convenient location”

The hotel’s spot on location, the staff’s friendliness, and the fair pricing made for a solid visit, though the rooms could use a bit of updating.

The housekeeping staff did a stellar job, keeping the room spotless throughout my stay.
