Mara Oldcity Hotel

“We had a wonderful stay at Mara Old City Hotel!”

We had a wonderful stay at Mara Old City Hotel! The hotel was very clean and well-maintained, and our room and bathroom were spotless. Everything was functional, comfortable, and exactly as we expected. What really made our stay special, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. They gave us useful information and recommendations about the city and genuinely made us feel welcome throughout our stay. Overall, a really positive experience, and a big thank you to the entire team for their kindness and hospitality. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul!. /

“Had an amazing time, amazing location and staff!!!”

The staff were very helpful and the location is perfect! Nothing unexpected for the price point; the elevators are a bit small, but that’s typical for Istanbul.

“Great value for us. Manager created 90% of the value.”

Senior world travelers. Stay in various accomondations 100 days per year. At first entry, the OldCity hotel lobby was a little disconcerting. A single man sitting at a small desk in a hall with shabby carpet. But the man, Aslan, was a 30 year hotel industry veteran who clearly knew what was of essential value for guests like us. In fact, 90% of the value of this boutique hotel for us was our interaction with Aslan. Great value recommendations for where to eat, visit and experience. The facilities are compact, as one would expect in a cobbled street old town, but they had all the essential value we truly needed. Thankful our initial impressions proved wrong!. Definitely recommend a chair for the small desk in the compact room. I went down and asked Aslan for one, and he gave me his chair. Suggested he might want to bring in more chairs. Also suggest improved reception hall lighting, carpet and painting to help create a better first impression. Highlight the amazing collection of top booking agencies awards for excellence!
