Our hosts were very hospitable and friendly and we felt very comfortable and welcome during our visit. The breakfast is excellent. The location is lovely and also benefits from a very good local pub

The room was beautifully presented, the breakfast was wonderful, and I would highly recommend it; there’s nothing to complain about.

The front‑desk lady was lovely, very friendly, and the garden was beautiful. Everything else was perfect until breakfast: we were hit with a £5.99 charge for two cups of tea on top of the meal, a first in over 40 years of hotel stays, and an extra £3.50 for a single slice of toast that we didn’t even pay for. It was disappointing; if we’d known about those fees beforehand we would have declined. No other reviews mention this, and it will definitely keep us from returning.
