The Fernery Lodge & Spa

The location is beautiful in the middle of forests, and the surrounding trails are very pleasant. There are no nearby restaurants, but the hotel’s food is tasty, and the breakfast is good. We stayed in a chalet that was comfortable, spacious, close to the river, and had a lovely view with many birds and monkeys around. For our taste, the hotel feels tacky; some areas lack care (for example, the beach tennis net in the garden is falling apart). In the restaurant, a selection of bad music played all the time, enough to disturb dinner. People walking around in robes all the time was definitely not our preferred style of hotel.

“Tolle Ungebung, tolle Ausblicke, tolles Hotel!”

The rooms and bathrooms were beautiful and everything was thoughtfully arranged, and the breakfast restaurant was excellent. We only stayed one night, though. The climb up was very long and tiring, and our room was full of flies, so we couldn’t open the window even with the light on. That’s beyond the lodge’s control.

The location is dreamlike. The path to the accommodation was rather poor, with a gravel road full of holes.
