Breakfast was great. The place sits in a quiet alley off the main road, close to the river, with a nice garden full of fruit trees and flowers – I felt very at ease, and could hear the river’s gentle rush. I slept well. The single room on the first floor had outlets and light switches hanging out of the wall, which is unacceptable! There was only one dresser (no wall hook, no mirror, no nightstand). The window jammed. I never knew if the staff were employees or family members; a young woman was helpful but didn’t speak English, and I had no idea if she was the house’s daughter.

The staff were amazing. They let me store my stuff while I trekked, the breakfast was the best in town, the location was quiet and far from the bustle, and the garden was beautiful. The staff really went above and beyond for every request I had.
