Because my flight was cancelled, I booked on the spot from the airport and got there after midnight; the reception staff were very helpful, and a kind team member even carried our bags up. Niko the bartender deserves special mention for being so kind and helpful to two shaken‑up pensioner ladies. Checking out at 12 was great for us, and the staff turned a stressful situation into a smooth one. Thank you.

Tropical Sol sits right in the middle of Tigaki, offering a solid selection of restaurants and bars with a relaxed vibe that isn’t too lively; the beach is just a short walk away. Tigaki is known for water sports, especially windsurfing, and on some days the wind really picks up. The hotel is a fairly basic spot used by many package holiday operators, but the pool and its bar were great, and the bartender made our week memorable. The air‑con worked brilliantly, keeping the room at a comfortable temperature, and the room was cleaned daily with towels changed regularly. The balcony was tiny and offered no privacy from neighboring rooms, the pool is open to non‑residents so it can get crowded, and the beach sunbeds were pricey, ranging from 15 to 30 euros per day.

The property is clean and close to everything, but on Sunday the cleaning service didn’t work and they didn’t re‑clean the room.
