Two out of ten. The spot was close to everything, which was nice. But the room was filthy—walking in barefoot would leave black stains on the floor. The bathroom in the bedroom was never cleaned; there were black dirt marks all over the tub. Wi‑Fi didn’t work, and when it did, it forced you to pay to upgrade—so no free Wi‑Fi.

Nine out of ten. There was plenty of space, everything in the room worked, the bed was comfortable, and linens and towels looked clean. The tritoon boat rental was a blast, and we also used a tube. The pizza place was excellent, but avoid Jefe’s. The couch had some stains, a tile in the kitchen was broken, and a few extra trash bags would have helped. Jefe’s taco stand was pricey and the food was just bad.

Ten out of ten. The location had no traffic noise or bright lights. The only issue was that every time we returned to the room, it always smelled like cigarette smoke, so the filter needed changing.

Three out of ten. I liked the shuttle to SDC, but there were no restaurants on site, no way to buy breakfast, and the room was the smallest I’ve ever stayed in. No shampoo or lotion, no tissues in the bathroom, dishes but no sink—so I didn’t use them. The bathroom counter had no place for toiletries, and there was no reading light near the bed or a bright enough light for makeup. There was no chair to sit on except the bed or a hard kitchen chair, no maid service, no lake view as advertised, and no outdoor spot to sit and enjoy the lake or weather.
