“Friendly, warm welcome from the owner”
The place was amazing, quirky and homely, offering everything we needed and more; the owner was fantastic, welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond; breakfast was great too—we’ll return as soon as we can. Nothing at all to complain about; it’s a shame we couldn’t stay longer.
“Refreshingly different and made my business trip an enjoyable experience.”
A lovely quirky building in a great spot with parking; Siobhan was very accommodating and pleasant company. I’d happily stay there again—such a wonderful alternative to the usual corporate chain hotels. Highly recommend.
“It was a very eclectic home. Felt I was in a song.”
You go for an interesting home. I met only one host that weekend, who was very interesting; my baby enjoyed exploring the different areas. Good parking, on‑site and free everywhere nearby; Clock House is close, so transport to London is convenient. The kitchen is good, the room clean, the bed soft, and a travel cot fits in the smallest room. It feels like a big space with a great, very clean bath. I really like the place because it feels spacious. The living room is comfortable, and the people and household are very likable. Maybe recommend a bit more storage; smaller rooms mean less space for luggage, so a little extra room for things would help. Some women and ex‑survivors of various kinds struggle with bathrooms that have no locks; it felt like a very safe home though.
“Comfortable room in a location that’s ideal for gigs in Crystal Palace Park”
Siobhan was very accommodating when I checked in just before 6 pm; the room was comfortable despite the heat and I was given a fan so I slept well. The location was perfect for a concert at Crystal Palace Park, and I’d definitely come back. The bathroom door had no lock, which was fine while I was there with a friend who respected the closed door, but others might not share that consideration.
Siobhan was very friendly, and a small bottle of wine in the room upon arrival was great after a long trip. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in for a long time.
