The property sits outside Cheshire, so it’s quiet; for the price the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, sleep was peaceful, and the room was very dark. However, the hotel looks tired and appears to be undergoing renovation; we booked a king‑size room but received a double, which wasn’t ideal for my husband who is 6’3, and the tired look remains despite the renovations.

There’s plenty of parking, but the place is noisy, the restaurant is closed, it doesn’t feel very welcoming, and I didn’t feel safe in the room.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast pricing was creative and matched what we ate. The signposts around the grounds are a bit confusing, and the staircase is under renovation—okay for now, but a carpet would improve it.
