The first floor contains two rooms and a large shared dining area/hall. One room has two doors: one into the house itself and another to the veranda; the second room can only be accessed from the dining area. Kitchen, bathroom, and all shared amenities are fully equipped. The main attraction is the family that runs the place, and I enjoyed good conversations with Nadee and Akash, who is always nearby and ready to help if needed. I hope this spirit is preserved so the place doesn’t become too commercial. The location is peaceful and about a 15‑minute walk to Weligama beach. It would be nice to have a small clothes rack—or even better, wall‑mounted hooks—in the room.

We spent two nights in Weligama with this wonderful family. They were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We had everything we needed and more, like plenty of tea and a delicious Sri Lankan dinner. The house is in a good, peaceful area and 15 minutes on foot from the beach. Highly recommend!

The room was great, with crisp white sheets and a comfortable mattress. Nadee and her family are lovely and very accommodating. She let me use her bicycle, which was handy. The hosts were kind and provided food and water. I will definitely stay again in the future. Nothing at all.

I stayed here for two months with a wonderful family who runs the house. Every morning began with a good mood and continued with great homemade breakfasts by the quiet riverbank. The room was clean, and the family kept it tidy every few days. Laundry service is available, which is very convenient. The room has everything needed for a long stay. The family is especially friendly, constantly improving the house, listening to feedback, and inviting guests to dinners, board games, or other activities. With the owners’ son and daughter, we went to Galla, surfed, visited a small Buddhist monk monastery, and climbed Adam’s Mountain together. They always offered recommendations and were ready to help if you need anything—just ask. Warm hospitality is guaranteed! Thank you to the family for a wonderful time, especially for the dress the host sewed for my daughter, whom she had never seen.
