Nothing. Too isolated, and when I say isolated I mean lost in the countryside, right next to a national road with no transport, not even a bike, no grocery shop, let alone food, no taxi (too far) – I was held hostage. I had to accept the owners’ conditions and their many families. We abandoned a week’s rental (of course paid in advance) – wow (a little sense of relief). All in all we managed to escape…

It was a night to remember… On Songkran 2567, I first booked an expensive hotel in central Chanthaburi, paid, drove from Koh Chang to Chanthaburi, and after 10 pm the hotel told me the room was full and cancelled, refunding via the app. I then searched for nearby accommodation because it was late and found this place, but had to drive back to Trat about 30 km. The natural setting felt like staying at an uncle’s and aunt’s house in a garden. The owners were very kind and warm, greeting me with the parents and their three daughters, giving me a feeling of visiting a relative’s home. The room was very cheap and great value. The owners were generous. The pets in the house were cute and friendly (a dog). In the morning the rooster crowed to wake me, no alarm needed. Advice: 1. The drain pipe in the bathroom is loose and should be fixed to prevent snakes or poisonous animals from entering. 2. The opening on the roof of the bathroom should be closed to keep animals out. 3. The curtains are thin and small; people outside can see inside when the lights are on, and when the lights are off, people outside can see inside a bit – bring a blanket to cover at night.
