“Fantastic place, great excursions paradise on earth”
We booked two nights, but it turned out we should have stayed longer. The resort was great for snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing. No complaints.

The staff were amazing—cannot stress enough. As a family of four with two small kids, we felt right at home; everyone knew our names, looked after the kids while we went diving, and were friendly and attentive, keeping us entertained. The food was all home‑cooked, delicious and healthy. The beach and resort were peaceful, mostly ours, with snorkeling near the beach, free kayaking, paddle boarding, and lovely walks. The only downside was mosquitoes; spray was available in public areas but still needed.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing was too much trouble; they were very accommodating to individual needs. The small number of guests made it feel exclusive. It was eco‑friendly, had good Wi‑Fi in the communal areas, and reliable solar power for all the bure. The fellow guests were friendly and like‑minded. We could experience Fijian culture and visit the traditional isolated Kadavu villages, plus the dive facilities and coral reef access were good. Absolutely loved our time at Papageno and will return in the future. The water temps were slightly cooler than we expected.

This is the loveliest little resort with a personal touch that I doubt you would get at many other places. The staff all went above and beyond to ensure we were catered to. The diving was amazing, especially the Astrolabe reef. The food was incredible and I ate far too much. They were able to cater for vegetarian and gluten free and I even got my own freshly baked GF bread. The 2 bedroom villa was protect for 2 friends as we each got our own bathroom as well as a communal living space. Absolutely nothing
