The hostel looks gorgeous on the inside, and the shared kitchen was super handy for whipping up meals. No real complaints – everything worked fine.

The facilities are really pretty and feel pleasant, but the constant power cuts across Palomino made the nights hot and hard to sleep. Mosquitoes were everywhere and the mattresses got uncomfortable after just a few minutes, so there’s definitely room for improvement.

Got a room that was dirty, and the staff were downright rude. On top of that the electricity kept flickering and the kitchen was disgustingly filthy.

The garden is absolutely beautiful, but the rooms left a lot to be desired – the first one felt like a dungeon swarming with cockroaches, and even after being moved to a supposedly better room the bugs persisted. To make matters worse, the main contact person was pretty unfriendly.

This place is great for unwinding – the garden is lovely, the kitchen clean and well‑equipped, and the staff are friendly, all at a reasonable price. There are plenty of spots to sit and get some work done, though it’s a bit remote (about a 20‑minute walk to the beach) and we dealt with a daily‑clogging toilet, termite‑infested wardrobe, and laundry that returned our clothes crumpled instead of folded.
