The food is commendable. The bath was somewhat disappointing.

This was a beautiful hotel on the shores of Sado Island, with a stunning view of the Sea of Japan. We had the room with its own bath on the balcony and my only regret is that I did not have much chance to use it. I could stare at the sea forever. The dinners and breakfasts were phenomenal. Staff were so friendly and kind! They always said we could get extra drinks and cookies from the lounge. There was nothing that could have been better. Everything was fabulous. I would love to come back!

The sea view was first‑rate, the room cozy and comfortable with a private hot tub. In the evenings the hotel offered a light show from the North‑Sawa floating mine‑lighting installation, plus traditional dance and saxophone performances. No negatives at all.

The location was good. The value didn’t match the price, especially the food.
