“This apartment is trying to be progressiv with all smart devices, but it's just trying.”
I found a room with a clothes steamer and a hair dryer, and the space was generous—there was a large living area that included a kitchen, a bedroom, and a small bathroom equipped with a fancy smart toilet. Nearly every utility in the room, such as the sink, toilet, and shower, was “smart,” but they weren’t intuitive to use. The rooftop offered a nice view and a small table with chairs. The room was clean, though a few hairs were on the floor, sofa, and in the sink, and every door was locked with a code, which made me feel a bit unsafe.
The bed was large and comfortable, and the apartment had a washer, dishwasher, and a ceramic hob, although I didn’t use them. The bathroom was tiny, and the laundry was in the living room. The door to the living room was a frosted glass one, so everything was visible, and the drains had a terrible odor.
“Severe Cleanliness and Integrity Concerns”
When we arrived, the unit was immediately dirty, with used bed sheets and a filthy towel on the floor. I called the owner, who promised to fix it, but later I saw that he only cleaned the bed instead of changing the soiled linens, showing a serious failure in basic cleaning standards and honesty. The owner also misrepresented the amenities: he said my husband could stay for free, but after the inconvenience, we only received a $30 discount and a single towel, even though the standard price covers one or two guests. The stay was a clear failure to meet even the minimum expectation of a clean bed and towel, and the owner’s repeated lies made it impossible to recommend this property.
