The location and car park were great, but I would have liked a fridge in the room.

The terrace with loungers was great, the bus stop was close by, and the restaurant and bar were excellent. The room was very dark and poorly lit, making it very difficult to read.

Breakfast was great, the bar food excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful; a bus stopped outside the hotel, making a good link to the town centre and bus station. One or two issues with rooms: they could use mini‑fridges, and there was noise from other rooms and the corridor outside; the rooms also could use air conditioning. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel; the decor of the lobby, restaurant, and bar created a warm and lovely ambience, and I will stay again in the future. The only negatives were no fridges or mini safes in the rooms and noise from other rooms.

The only problem was that the room was incredibly hot, even with the towel rail off in the bathroom. It was unfortunate that we were there when a man got incredibly drunk and set off the alarms at 3am because he couldn’t get back into his room, but that was not the hotel’s fault. We never went to breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. The staff were great, especially the guys from Kenya. The only issue was the heat in the bedroom.

The hotel sits in a great spot and the double room with shower was fine, the reception was welcoming and breakfast was good. The single room was too small and awful, and the prices listed on Booking didn’t match what I actually paid, even after the change.
