Everything is well maintained. In summer, it lacks air conditioning, and since it can host 8 people, a sofa would be nice.
“Like staying in a museum”
The setting was absolutely stunning, the property and location were beautiful and interesting, water and shade everywhere, open spaces all around, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Still, the house felt more like a museum than a home—rigid chairs without cushions, an 18th‑century wooden sofa, a small bed that was impossible for tall people like us, only two tiny cooking hotplates with no instructions on how to use the gas oven, a clothes‑drying rack hidden in a locked room, and an unstable internet connection that made video meetings difficult. In the end we slept in our van and brought our own chairs to give our tired bodies a break, but the staff (or owner?) were helpful and offered alternatives. It was just a lot of things to deal with when all we wanted was some rest.
The location, décor, cleanliness, all was great, but the next day after we arrived the water came out brown with dirt, probably from a pipe break, so we couldn’t shower or cook.
A very pretty and peaceful place; we’ll be back.
Everything—truly a paradise.
