Even though it was on the top floor, the spot was still perfectly positioned by the beach, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious.

The daily fresh continental breakfast and coffee were convenient, and the staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful.

The room was well appointed and comfortable, and the location was good. Only after booking did a text inform me that the B&B operated at arm’s length, meaning I had to gain entry and retrieve the key myself. It also wasn’t clear that only a limited continental breakfast would be available.

The proximity to Wells centre, the quiet atmosphere, and the comfy bed were great. I didn’t realize it was a continental breakfast at first and felt a bit disappointed, but it turned out to be excellent with yoghurt, cheese, ham, cereals, and a good coffee station. I liked that I could take food back to the reception area for a meal, with cutlery provided—though I’m not sure where it would have been washed. We didn’t know this was an option. I was taken aback that there were no staff to greet us; everything was key‑code only, but it was efficient. The breakfast area was cramped. Our room (either 5 or 8) had a small shower that acted like a wet room; water spread everywhere, so I almost had to mop it up, although the shower itself was good.
