The breakfast was fantastic and hearty. The ryokan itself was spotless and roomy, offering several onsenburo to wander around. The staff were warm and accommodating.

The staff explained everything politely, even to many foreign guests, and handled cultural differences with a Japanese-first approach so that no one noticed. The footsteps echoed, and I worried it might bother the neighbors.
