Everything was spot‑on, and Sergio was super friendly. The glowing reviews you see online are legit – I’d definitely come back to Porto and stay here again.

Sergio’s hostel turned out to be the most comfortable place I’ve ever lodged in – the beds are plush, there are lockers (just bring your own lock) and, thank goodness, air‑conditioning. Sergio himself is a character with a fascinating backstory and always ready with solid travel tips. The only downside is that the beach suitable for swimming isn’t within easy walking distance, but you can grab a rideshare or hop on a bus if you don’t want to trek.

Breakfast was top‑notch, and the staff took care of everything with real attention. I left feeling well‑fed and looked after.

I was in town for a big exam and needed a quiet spot to hit the books; the room was simple but had everything I required, and the AC kept the place cool. Sergio’s warm welcome made a huge difference – he was friendly, gave solid local advice, and even whipped up a tasty breakfast for me and another candidate. Thanks to him, my time in the city was far more pleasant.

Sergio, the owner, was really helpful; he even offered coffee despite it not being part of the price.
