The lodge looks stunning, especially at sunset. The rooms are nice, and the dining area is comfortable. Getting there isn’t the easiest, but it’s similar to the other lodges in the region.

The lodge sits high above a crater lake, and the view is truly amazing. Our room is decorated in an African style and overlooks the lake. There’s a cozy terrace. The staff are friendly, and a kind colleague even accompanied us to Bigodi to show the way. We had aperitifs by the campfire, then moved on to a delicious, flavorful dinner. The pool, however, seemed unclean for weeks; the next day it was fixed. The rooms are very noisy, and the breakfast could be improved.

The location is perfect with a super view; the lodge is set in one of Uganda’s most beautiful spots. The staff are very nice and try their best to fulfill all requests. The garden and bar area are well kept. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and towels were clean. On the downside, the lodge isn’t convenient for morning chimp trekking—it takes an hour to reach the park entrance. The room and bathroom weren’t clean enough. The pool was murky, so we didn’t use it. The garden furniture isn’t well kept, and the shower water pressure is very low.

The location and views are amazing, and the staff are wonderful—especially Aggie. We loved visiting the waterfall and swimming in the lake. The chef was very flexible with our adventurous spirit but limited in cuisine for kids, which we appreciated. Some cleanliness issues: the room wasn’t serviced and the pool was murky.
