The staff were helpful, the location was good, the food was tasty and reasonably priced, but there were shortcomings in the house menu.

The breakfast was passable but had been sitting in warming trays for a while, and the muesli was nothing like the one I know; the location was good and the room was clean, though a bit worn, and the bed was comfortable. The on‑site restaurant was closed because the chef was ill, so no tables were set up and we ended up eating a bag of peanuts.

A quiet spot and a decent room, but the breakfast was painfully basic—no tomatoes or mushrooms, only a few fruits and juices, and the price felt steep compared to Premier Inns.

The room was fine and the location convenient once we found it, but the reception staff took 15 minutes to appear and were not very welcoming. Breakfast choices were limited, and the staff didn’t restock items even with half an hour left before 10 am unless we asked them; they were just chatting. It was disappointing that we couldn’t see the lake—advertised photos are misleading, the hedge has grown up and nobody has trimmed it.
