Walking distance to the theater district. 1) The smoke/fire alarm activated for no reason, waking us up and starling us badly 2) We saw some ants in the bathroom when getting ready for bed. Then had many ants in our bed when we woke-up in the morning. 3) All this for a very expensive rate. BAD!

Lovely hotel that's clean and modern with welcoming staff (extra thanks to Jordan in the bar!) and great facilities. Plenty of parking, a nice pool area, and a little shop for essentials. The hotel isn't quite in the center of Santa Barbara, so expect a ten minute walk to restaurants. Room was spacious and bathroom was spotless. A common complaint for me in many hotels - why do the coffee sachets also come with a disposable plastic tray? Let's try to reduce single-use plastic!

Pool, room size, cleanliness, staff. No negatives.

I liked the location and the pool/restaurant, but the renovations happening on our floor in the hallway caught us off guard and felt like an undisclosed downgrade that made the hotel feel less worth the top‑price we paid during peak season; on top of that, our room faced straight into a smoke break area of another business, which was a bit odd.
