The rooms were fairly simple and a bit dated, but spotless and well maintained. The warm welcome from the hosts was a highlight, and breakfast was included in the room price. It was a single overnight stay while traveling, but I could see myself staying longer. The only thing to note is the location on the federal highway; during our off‑season visit, traffic noise was limited, and otherwise there was nothing to criticize.

A really good breakfast and friendly staff were the highlights; no other comments.

The Garni sits just diagonally across from the "Ortles Museum" created by Reinhold Messmer, and in the morning you get a beautiful view of the sun‑lit Ortler—of course only when the sun shines :-) The hostwoman satisfies every breakfast wish; here you can have freshly prepared scrambled or fried eggs (no warming plate). The location is perfect for hiking up the very tall mountains. The Garni is a bit older but still well kept and clean—if you want something more modern or more wellness, this isn’t the place. For dinner you have to arrange it yourself—there aren’t many options in Sulden, and some are quite expensive.

Very centrally located in Sulden, with a balcony overlooking the Ortler and afternoon sun. Breakfast always offered fresh cake or other pastries, and you could also choose scrambled or fried eggs. The shared balcony was a downside, and the pillows were very firm.
