The owners are a wonderful couple, super helpful and friendly. The room is clean and very peaceful, and the breakfast is excellent.

What a find! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Avalon and would strongly recommend it to any visitor on the Orkney. The room was spacious, immaculate, and had everything we could hope for. Best of all, the hosts were wonderful. Thank you so much Mags and Nigel, we will definitely return. I can't think of a single thing to criticize.

Fantastic place to stay in Kirkwall. Mags and Nigel are amazing hosts, incredibly welcoming and kind. The room was wonderful, plenty of space, quiet, clean, and the homemade breakfasts are perfect – they will keep you going all day! This should be your only place to stay in Kirkwall; you won’t regret it. The only downside was having to leave.
