“Owner’s Roughness Overshadowed by Friendly Staff”
We were caught off guard when the owner cancelled our room at the last minute and didn’t even notice his own message, so we just showed up on the spot. He was pretty unpleasant, but the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful.
“Satisfied”
We were satisfied with the stay.
“Mosquito Nightmare and Bad Bathroom”
No mosquito net on the window, so the room filled with bugs at night with the curtain drawn. The AC blows straight into the bedroom, so you can’t keep the window closed. The bathroom is in terrible condition.
“Unfriendly Staff and Payment Hassles”
It wasn’t that bad, but the owner was arrogant and rude. At check‑in, a guy shouted that they don’t like Hungarians. We didn’t have enough euros, so we offered to pay a 2/3 deposit or with a card. He yelled at us that we had to use euros. Luckily we found another place. It’s not a trustworthy spot—more like a rundown hostel. I wouldn’t recommend it.
“Convenient Stopover with Friendly Owner”
We picked this hotel because it was conveniently on the way to our next city. We got stuck in a long line at the Moldova–Romania border and arrived much later, but the owner welcomed us late, greeted us warmly, and showed us everything. It’s a solid option for a road trip stop: sleep over, grab breakfast, then keep going. The room was clean and comfortable. We also stopped by to see the nearby pendulum—definitely worth a visit.
