Everything was great—restaurant, duty‑free shop, music, vibe. Nothing to complain about. But if you want to help someone out, you have to wander around the ship, and oddly enough, this cruise was mainly made up of retirees. Maybe it’s the season or maybe that’s the norm. And if you don’t happen to snag a free spot by a window in a nice bar, it’s hard to wait for it.

The sea‑view room is a must; I loved having my own space to look out at the islands. The sauna and massage treatments were incredible, and the view from the spa is stunning. You have to figure out how to coordinate with the spa well ahead of time to book because their land system doesn’t talk to the ship while it’s at sea. It is so noisy everywhere but the spa. Everyone is drinking everywhere the entire time even at 0900. No one gave me an overview of where anything was or how to find my room. It was like a stampede boarding. There was also no safety information. Every announcement was in Swedish, which is understandable, but I didn’t know what was happening all the time. I’d do it again for the view and the spa, but I’d need to avoid all the party animals.
