Because of technical problems, we were told that breakfast could not be served, but the hotelier made every effort to keep us from going hungry; in the end we had a perfect breakfast, and as compensation for the mishap, we received a one‑third discount on the breakfast price, which was a very appropriate gesture. The only issue was that we only happened to learn that the arrival day was a holiday, so we could not have dinner – we had to find food in town, which was inconvenient for us hikers who had to carry everything up the mountain.

“Well priced clean hotel for Colmar”

It was situated outside the historic district that I was familiar with, and the historic district was only five minutes away by car. It was on a busy street, but my room at the back of the hotel was quiet. Restaurants were a five‑minute car ride away, there was plenty of parking, and it was quiet.

“Wohlfühloase in schöner Landschaft.”

The people were courteous and friendly. The rooms were long with a nice view, ideal for relaxing, and the food was good. Breakfast was a bit expensive.

Mr. Strässle was very nice and friendly! The location was top! The beds were very good! It would be helpful to have fly screens so that flies and mosquitoes could not enter the room.
