The location was excellent, about a one‑minute walk to Ogura Station, so the access was great. There were plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around. I would have liked water and coffee in the room.

It might be better to choose a south‑facing room. The side facing the tracks is noisy.

The station and convenience store were close, and check‑in and check‑out were smooth. There was no shoe rack in the room, and the room, unit bath, etc. felt a bit cramped. The screen for the check‑in form was a little confusing. I went to Ogura Castle Gate (South Exit) without knowing it, called the front desk, and told them the view from my current location (using a highway bus from Kitakyushu Airport) of the Lega Royal Hotel and KMM Building. The staff handling the call didn’t recognize those names. They told me to leave the South Exit and turn right to find it, which worked, but it would have been better if they could have said right away that it was on the opposite side. I didn’t know where the bus would arrive, and for a first‑timer it was a total mystery, so it would help if staff could give building names as a reference point. The staff at another hotel last year handled it well.

The location and value for money were good. No particular issues.
